I was flipping through my old sketchbooks, and found some very interesting pages such as this one. I traced my right foot and wrote down the cities and countries I've lived in, from my childhood until 2007. My Gypsy life. I also noted all the places that I had accidents and hurt my foot (one was where my Dad broke his leg). I don't even think about those experiences nowadays! This page just reminds me how I've documented my life and memories with art journaling.
I should start journaling again.
I can't believe it's October already! This year seems passing very fast. I am glad to say that it is probably because I have been so busy! I have accomplished a lot, and have made a several licensing deals. I will share them once they are ready for sale.
I got two holiday cards are hitting the shelves this Fall. One is for Trader Joe's, one is for Minted. The Minted card is already for sale. It has three color options, can be personalized on the front and back. I've got some sales today! So happy!
If you'd also like to order my cards for your family and friends, please visit my Minted shop here.
Ice cream is happy food.
Continue the mood in vintage design.
I've been (obsessively) watching "Mad Man" lately and am fascinated by the design from '60s. I love women's fashion style, the furniture in their home, the colors, the patterns on the fabrics etc. from that era (and the show). Although that design style is from 50 years ago, but it has a very modern and timeless look.
Speaking of MOD style, this is my morning drawing of today. Not sure what year these camera were made but I think they are much more beautiful than the cameras we have today.
Summer is here. It's the season for stone fruits! I am thinking about grilled peaches, nectarines, with pork chop or prosciutto. Yum!
I used some of the nautical icons I drew for MATS Bootcamp assignment to create this pattern (although the assignment is to do a "wall art"). I've drawn more than 60 icons so I have plenty of images to use. More nautical patterns to come.
